The band LehCats was co-founded by the husband and wife team of Norbert and Karen Stachel. LehCats, (Stachel’s last name spelled backwards), has been active since its inception in 2015 performing in jazz venues across the United States. They have released three albums of original music.

LehCats performs hard driven compositions that combine elements of Modern Jazz, Funk, R&B, Middle Eastern, Afro/Latin, and Rock creating a musical potpourri of energetic creative sound using original compositions as the vehicle. LehCats tells a musical story with versatility, passion, discovery, and invention.

Grammy winning and Grammy nominated multi woodwind player Norbert Stachel has recorded and toured world wide with Sheila “E”, Prince, Tower Of Power, Freddie Hubbard, Roy Hargrove, Boz Scaggs, Tony! Toni! Toné!, Roger Waters, Dream Theatre, Pete Escovedo, Diana Ross, En Vogue, Don Cherry, Ray Obiedo, Bobby Sanabria, and many others. Norbert has also toured and performed with legendary artists including Tito Puente & Celia Cruz, The Mambo Legends Orchestra, The Temptations, The Four Tops, The Drifters, Frankie Valli, Engelbert Humperdinck, and many others.

Multi flutist and vocalist Karen Stachel has performed and recorded with many great musicians including the late great jazz trumpeter Wallace Roney. Karen has also preformed classical music with a variety of symphonic and chamber orchestras on both the west and east coasts of the USA. In addition to co-producing three LehCats recordings, Karen has released four recordings of her own.
